A photo of a shocked Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall reacting to their car being attacked has won the photographer of the year award in the Picture Editors' Guild Awards. I blogged at the time that this was a stunning picture and would do an awful lot to damage the cause the students were campaigning on. It demonstrates the power of photography to capture a moment perfectly in a way that endless opinion and comment on 24 hour rolling TV news never can.
